Description

National Natural Gas Balance chart displays the difference between national consumption and dry production. When consumption is below production, there is a positive balance and excess gas is being put into storage (injection season). When consumption is above production, the balance is negative and gas is being withdrawn from storage (withdrawal season). It is perfectly normal for consumption to be above production in winter and fall below production during summer. What is important is to understand how natural gas balance compares to previous years (white line indicates annual change in the balance). National Balance chart focuses on domestic aggregates only.
