Description

Power plants outages chart shows the electricity generation offline (measured in gigawatts) due to the maintenance of coal-fired, natural gas-fired and nuclear power plants. We calculate a net impact for potential gas usage. The higher the net impact of outages, the higher is the potential for gas usage in the Electric Power sector for the replacement of coal and nuclear generation. The chart shows the most recent data, last year's data as well as a 5-year average. It also displays a three-month forecast.

Updated weekly.
