Description

Total Natural Gas Balance chart sums up the results from National Balance and External Trade Balance. When demand (national consumption + exports) is below supply (production + imports), the total balance is positive and excess gas is being put into storage (injection season). When demand is above supply, the total balance is negative and gas is being withdrawn from storage (withdrawal season). It is perfectly normal for demand to be above supply in winter and fall below supply during summer. What is important is to understand how total natural gas balance compares to previous years (white line indicates annual change in total balance).
